Yesterday, Tuesday, Al-Awal Park Stadium in Riyadh hosted the round of 16 match, which witnessed Al-Ittihad’s dominance in terms of goals, as Karim Benzema scored the first goal (15 minutes), and Algerian Hossam Aouar added the second goal (45 minutes + 2), while Al-Nasr settled for a single goal scored by Brazilian Angelo in the 30th minute.

In his first comment on this painful loss and bitter exclusion, Ronaldo posted on his account on the “X” platform a picture of himself with his teammates at Al-Nasr Club and attached it to a comment that said: “We stand tall, we learn, and we move forward together.”

This exclusion comes to renew the “nightmare of titles” that has haunted Ronaldo since his arrival to victory in January 2023.

During the past two seasons (2023-2024 and 2024-2025), Al-Nasr failed to win any of the major local titles (the league, the King’s Cup, and the Super Cup), in addition to bidding farewell to the AFC Champions League.

In the current season (2025-2026), Ronaldo’s hopes of achieving his first title with the club were dashed after leaving the King’s Cup, which doubles the pressure on him and the team in the remaining competitions.
