The Foundation said on its Telegram channel: “On October 3 and 6, members of the primary and reserve crew of the Soyuz MS spacecraft conducted training on manual docking and re-docking of the spacecraft with the International Space Station, in preparation for launching the spacecraft on the next manned flight.”
The Foundation explained that the primary crew of the Soyuz MS vehicle, which will go on the next trip to the space station, includes Russian astronauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikaev, while the reserve crew includes Russian astronauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina.
Roscosmos had previously announced that the next manned flight, aboard the Soyuz MS‑28 spacecraft, is expected to launch in late November, and the core crew will include Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikaev, in addition to NASA astronaut Christopher Williams.
The Foundation is also preparing to launch the Progress MS‑33 cargo spacecraft towards the International Space Station, as the launch will take place from the Baikonur Cosmodrome aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket.
